Plus qu’un restaurant, c’est un véritable musée, vieux skis du siècle dernier et bobsleigh vestige des jeux d’hiver de 1924, poêle ancestral, coucou Suisse et vieux livres de montagne, tout évoque le Chamonix d’autrefois.

Coté cuisine, la destination du voyage est aussi en territoire Savoyard avec des recettes traditionnelles de fromages, des viandes d’alpages et de poissons de nos lacs alpins. Cette cuisine fine de pays varie au gré des saisons et la Calèche, quant à elle, reste une institution.

La Bergerie de Planpraz is one of the best high mountain restaurants in Chamonix.
